I didn’t realize my son had a plan until his Xbox disappeared.

I didn’t realize my son had a plan until his Xbox disappeared.

I’m a mom of two.
Calvin is 13.
Rowena is 17.

Rowena has limited mobility. For years, she relied on an old wheelchair that had completely worn down. The wheels stuck. Pushing it was hard. Even short trips outside were exhausting. Going anywhere meant discomfort, frustration, and always depending on someone else.

We prayed for a way.
An electric mobility scooter would have changed everything—freedom to move on her own, attend school events, feel independent again. But we couldn’t afford one, so we kept trusting God and making do with what we had.

What I didn’t know was that Calvin noticed everything.

One day, his Xbox was gone. I assumed it broke or he traded it.

A week later, he asked me to come outside.

Rowena was there—sitting on a used electric scooter.

Calvin told me he sold his Xbox and saved every dollar he could. He said God put it on his heart. He just wanted his sister to move freely again.

In that moment, I saw God’s answer—working quietly through a 13-year-old boy.

Rowena cried.
I cried too.
And we thanked God.
