Nine Labor Unit Nurses Pregnant at the Same Time — Now All Proud Moms

What started as an extraordinary coincidence in one hospital’s maternity ward has turned into a heartwarming celebration of motherhood and friendship.

Nine nurses from the labor and delivery unit at Maine Medical Center — who were all pregnant at the same time — have now welcomed their babies. Their story first went viral in March when the hospital shared a photo of eight of them showing off their bumps, drawing global attention.

Months later, the group reunited — this time cradling their newborns in an adorable photo shoot captured on August 8 by photographer Carly Murray, who also shot their original maternity pictures.

All nine babies, now between three weeks and three-and-a-half months old, are healthy and already enjoying their first playdates while their moms navigate night feeds and newborn life together.

“We check in daily — even at 3 a.m.,” nurse Lonnie Soucie joked, saying the experience has created a lasting sisterhood.

From a shared shift schedule to shared due dates, these nurses have delivered more than babies — they’ve delivered a beautiful reminder of community and connection.
