NBC4 Reporter’s Final Question Heard Before Deadly Los Angeles Helicopter Crash — Investigation Underway

Flames towered above a Chatsworth parking lot Tuesday evening as firefighters raced toward the wreckage of a fallen news helicopter. Just minutes earlier, NewsChopper4 had been hovering over a deadly collision involving an SUV and a Los Angeles Metro bus. Aboard the aircraft were aerial reporter Eliana Moreno and veteran pilot George Marciniw, two familiar members of NBC4 and Telemundo 52’s news operation. The helicopter went down near North Mason Avenue shortly before 7 p.m. on September 15.
